João Vítor began training Judo and Jiu Jitsu at the age of 10 in 2006 in Fortaleza Brazil, and received his Judo black belt in 2013 and his 2nd degree Judo black belt in 2021. João's main achievements as a Judo athlete were being part of the Brazilian Cadet and Junior Judo Team between 2012 and 2017, defending his country's team in several tournaments on the European Circuit in countries such as; Netherlands, Portugal, Romania, Germany and Croatia.
João also defended renowned clubs in Brazil and has participated in Olympic and world trials. João also participated in training with several world Olympic athletes and national teams, such as Japan, France, Germany, Georgia and South Korea, Paraguay, Canada, among others.
